This update is to let you know that Miriam had surgery this morning to stabilize her femur. We received notice at about 6:15 am that she was heading into surgery, and it was 12:00 noon before she was back on the ward. At this point in time, we have not been able to talk to any of the doctors regarding the details of the surgery. Miriam is still very sedated and any movement is very painful. Her respirations are still too low to give her any further morphine, but she is receiving wonderful care. When I heard from Marylynne a few minutes ago, Miriam was awake enough to ask that we thank all of you who have been praying for her today. Your prayers will continue to sustain her.
We will let you know more when further information is forthcoming. Thanks again for walking this path with Miriam.

Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us all updated. It means a lot...
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Miriam is receiving such great care. She is such a special person.
Miriam, everyone is praying for you at school and we all miss you so much ( especially me!).
Dear Mir:
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that you made it safely through today's surgery. I understand that you even have a room "with a view". You will come to appreciate that view in about 2 days.
We will be praying for continued good care while in hospital and hope that you are able to get some much needed rest. Sleep will help with the healing process.
Jackson and John send their "get well" wishes and love, as do I.
With love, Heidi
