I have so appreciated the many emails, phone calls and text messages over the past 9 days since I updated this blog. Your prayers and the encouragement of shared scriptures have meant so much to me. I have heard from the surgeon regarding a date for the surgery. The surgery will take place on the morning of April 1 at the UBC Hospital in Vancouver.
I have been especially encouraged by Exodus 23:20, "See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared." I love the image of the angel both protecting me as well as leading me into a safe place. I appreciate your continued prayers as I anticipate this surgery, that God will continue to settle my spirit and give me His peace. Pray also that I will be able to remain focused during my days at work leading up to the surgery date. I really want to do my best and give myself wholly to my job and to the students I help.
