Greetings to my friends and family. I have really felt your love and prayers over the last days again as I have been anticipating surgery. This week will be a big week for me as I go for a pre-op appointment on Tuesday, followed by surgery on Wednesday. I am not sure yet what time the surgery will be on Wednesday, but will find out at the Tuesday appointment. The surgery was originally scheduled for Thursday at the UBC Hospital, but has been moved a day earlier, and will be at Vancouver General Hospital.
I did receive a specific answer to prayer this past week. While on a conversation with the Oncologist, she confirmed that the cancer in the uterine wall is definitely the primary site. I know that many of you have been praying that this would be the case, and I am so thankful for this answer to prayer.
I was greatly encouraged again by the verses found in the Daily Light reading, specifically Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?", and Isaiah 40:29-31, "He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
I am trusting and believing the Lord for continued strength and healing. Thanks again for being so faithful with your prayers and support.
Love, Miriam
